Man Bails on Check, Runs Over Restaurant Owner’s Friend: Police

Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to leave a Columbia Pike restaurant without paying for his meal and then ran over the friend of the restaurant's owner who tried to stop him. The incident happened at 11:25 p.m. on May 27 in the 3700 block of S. Columbia Pike -- at El Rancho Migueleno restaurant, according to an ArlNow.com report -- when a man "left a restaurant without paying his tab," according to a police statement.

Vola’s Dockside Grill + Hi Tide Lounge: Sneak Peek

Exterior renderings of the highly anticipated Vola's Dockside Grill & Hi Tide Lounge, planning to open this summer on the waterfront, were recently filed with the City seeking permission to make changes regarding signs, lighting, awnings and windows. The Alexandria Restaurant Partners bar and eatery is eyeing a summer opening and looks to be hiring, according to ads posted online.

Good news, District foodies: the world-famous reviewer Michelin is creating a guide just for Washington, D.C., making it just the fourth U.S. city to get one and one of 29 in the world. The Michelin Guide is arguably the most prestigious restaurant review organization in the world, and the stars it awards are the most coveted in the culinary world.

Tysons Beer Garden Grand Opening Details Unveiled for Saturday

Tysons Biergarten has announced more details of their highly anticipated grand opening on Saturday, June 4, in Tysons. The beer garden, which also serves a limited menu, located at 8346 Leesburg Pike in Tysons, will host the grand opening Saturday beginning at 5 p.m., rain or shine. The 5,000-square foot features an outdoor, open-air setting as well as a three-story indoor space. Check out the list of beers:
