Tuesday brings more news on the dining scene in the DC metro area including an opening date for a beer garden in Tysons Corner, the annual Taste of Del Ray (check out the lineup of at least 15 restaurants participating this year) in Alexandria, free pizza at a weeklong grand opening in Ashburn and details on a two-day, not-to-miss annual wine and foodie event coming up at Bull Run Regional Park. Another hot ticket: Mount Vernon's "Summer Escape," featuring beer, bocce and bluegrass.

It looks like a highly anticipated new beer garden in the area has an opening date. The venue will feature a 5,000 square-foot patio and a menu featuring sausages, bratwurst, warm pretzels and of course, beer.

15 Restaurants to Participate in Taste of Del Ray

Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 5. That's when the 8th Annual Taste of Del Ray will return for its eighth year, taking place from 1-3 p.m. The competition, showcasing the diverse restaurants and talented chefs in Del Ray, is sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association.

Free Pizza Part of Ashburn Grand Opening This Week

Firenza Pizza opened its doors for business on Tuesday, May 24. During the grand opening celebration between Tuesday, May 24 through Monday, May 30, Firenza is giving away free 10-inch pizzas with a $2 donation to Loudoun Soccer.

Vintage Virginia®, the Virginia Wineries Association’s festival, will return to Bull Run Regional Park Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the group has announced.

Beer, Bluegrass + Bocce at Mount Vernon

George Washington’s Mount Vernon invites visitors to sip wine, locally brewed craft beer and other historic culinary treats while watching the sun set at the first president’s home on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
