Children, Seniors Share Halloween Fun At Retirement Community
A senior living community in Alexandria invited children in need to get costumes and participate in trick-or-treat with its residents.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A trick-or-treat hosted at a senior living community in Alexandria involved more treats than tricks for participating children and senior residents.
The Landing, a senior living community in Alexandria's Potomac Yard, hosted Halloween trick-or-treating for children with the Child & Family Network of Alexandria. The nonprofit Child & Family Network of Alexandria provides early education to over 100 children in need.
The pre-Halloween event at the landing was expected to draw children from the Child & Family Network of Alexandria and grandchildren of senior residents. The senior living community provided basic costumes and masks for the children as well as trick-or-treating in residents' homes.

"We are so grateful to The Landing for organizing this fun event, which offers a valuable opportunity for our families who may be facing limited alternatives or financial constraints in providing this experience for their children."
The event not only helped children in need but brightened the day of seniors living in a retirement home.
