City of Alexandria Announces DASH Back-to-School Supply Drive
The supply drive will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24.

From City of Alexandria:
Summer vacation is just about over, and that means it’s time to gear up for another school year with our annual back-to-school supply drive.
Last year, in 2015, with your support, the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center of Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) was able to help more than 2,500 students start off the year right with backpacks and essential school supplies.

This year, we want to help do the same. Our goal is to provide 3,000 ACPS students with the right tools to kick the school year off.
On Wednesday, Aug. 24, DASHers who donate new, unopened school supplies (e.g. backpacks, notebooks, and pencils) will receive a free ride on DASH (to be used at that time).

Drop your donation in the yellow bag that will be located in the front of the bus with the bus operator.
