Del Ray Gets Its Own Song

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Del Ray resident Neal Learner has created an ode to his neighborhood with the song "Perfect Day in Del Ray."

He posted the music video, which features lots of scenes from around town, on YouTube, with the following commentary:

"New York City has its own song..."start spreading the news." Chicago has its own song..."that toddling town." Los Angeles has its own song..."I love LA." Washington D.C. even has its own song, sort of..."It's Christmas time in Washington." I thought it was high time for my town, Del Ray, Va. (a neighborhood of Alexandria), to have its own song. This is the result. Hope you enjoy!"
