Del Ray's 2023 Halloween Scavenger Hunt Begins

ALEXANDRIA, VA — While we're counting down the days until the Del Ray Halloween Parade, Del Ray residents can join in on the spooky fun with a scavenger hunt starting Friday.

The scavenger hunt is part of a handful of Halloween activities planned in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood. Residents can walk Mount Vernon Avenue (in costume if they'd like) to find Halloween-themed items on businesses' decorated windows.

To participate, download the scavenger hunt activity sheet for clues. You can also pick up a copy from the witch at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square at Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues.

Aside from enjoying Halloween fun with your family, there is an incentive to participate. Five winners will randomly be selected to win a $50 gift card to their favorite Del Ray business.

To enter for the prize, submit your activity sheet with at least 20 answers completed to the witch at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues. The deadline to enter is Nov. 2.
