DRCA to Discuss Community Projects, Volunteering

The Del Ray Citizens Association is hosting an informal session about neighborhood volunteering opportunities at is June membership meeting.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 10 at the Reingold office, located at 433 E. Monroe Ave (between Giant and Swing’s).

Attendees will discuss volunteer opportunities for the 2014 Del Ray House and Garden Tour, efforts to improve small parks and open spaces in the neighborhood and initiating new tree-planting and other environmental projects.

The meeting will also include updates from the Alexandria Police Department and the election of new DRCA officers. Beverages (some of the adult variety) and snacks will be served.
