ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Police Department will host a community meeting Friday to address the fatal shooting earlier this week in the area of Route 1.Pierre Clark, 28, of no fixed address, was found after <a href="https://patch.com/virginia/delray/fatal-shooting-alexandria-shooter-fled-police-0">suffering several gunshot</a> wounds mid-day Wednesday in the 1000 block of Montgomery Street. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Inova Alexandria Hospital.The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St. The rec center is just one block from the site of the shooting.Investigators believe the shooter fled the area soon after the shooting, but schools in the area were placed on "lock in" status.
