FOX 5 to Broadcast from Del Ray Friday

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Del Ray, get ready for your close up.

Every Friday throughout the summer, FOX 5 Zip Trip spotlights the best spots to visit around the D.C. region. On Friday, June 3, FOX 5 DC-WTTG is spending the morning in Del Ray.

You can tune in and watch the show all morning – or come out to the Avenue to cheer on Del Ray's featured businesses. Here's the lineup for Friday morning:

Join FOX 5 “Good Day DC” anchors Steve Chenevey, Maureen Umeh and meteorologist Tucker Barnes at the Farmer’s Market on Oxford Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue.

• 7 a.m. - Steve and Maureen will greet the audience with the Alexandria Day School Band as Barnes reports from the Historic Del Ray sign (outside Cheesetique).

• 8-8:30 a.m. – Mind the Mat hosts an outdoor exercise class in the farmer’s market parking lot
  
  
• 8:15 a.m. - "FOX 5 First 5" with Del Ray's Lucia Ovalle (age 3) at the main set, outside of Stomping Ground
  
  
• 8:30-9:30 a.m. – Live music with the Irish Breakfast Band at the main set.
  
  
• 8:30 a.m. – Interview with Alexandria Mayor Allison Silberberg at the main set.
  
  
• 8:45 a.m. – Cake decorating segment with The Happy Tart outside of the store
  
  
• 9 a.m. – Irish Breakfast Band at the main set
  
  
• 9:15 a.m. – Taped package featuring "5 Must Stops" in Del Ray
  
  
• 9:17 a.m. - Pet-friendly Del Ray segment at Your Dog’s Best Friends store with puppy pops from The Dairy Godmother
  
  
• 9:50 a.m. – Segment with Christian Myers and Marty Devine from VéloCity Bicycle Co-op in front of their store
  
  
• 10-11 a.m. - Live music featuring Erin Flynn & Kevin Pace at the main set
  
  
• 10 a.m. hour - Junior Reporter Isabelle Frye at the main set
  
  
• 10 a.m. hour - Hometown Hero Pat Miller at the main set
  
  
• 10:15 a.m.- DIY Del Ray – bubble project at tables outside of Pork Barrel BBQ
  
  
• 10:40 a.m. – The Dairy Godmother debuts “Fox 5-flavored” treat
  
  
• 10:50 a.m. – Taste of Del Ray at the main set outside of Stomping Ground featuring Stomping Ground, Pork Barrel BBQ and Junction Bakery & Bistro

Throughout the morning there will be various activities for viewers including an appearance from Dunkin Donuts and a "chance to win a Mazda contest."
