Trinity United Methodist Church will receive a historical marker September 11.

ALEXANDRIA, VA - The National Society of Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century (NSCDXVIIC), Jamestown Chapter, will place a historical marker at Trinity United Methodist Church on September 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
The marker is to celebrate the church’s establishment on November 20, 1774 when a young preacher, William Duke, came into Alexandria and preached to a small group of followers and noted in his journal: “Formed them into a society.” The congregation is honored to be recognized by the Colonial Dames for it centuries long history.
