Holiday Scavenger Hunt In Del Ray Offers Free Family Fun
Del Ray residents have the chance to win a gift card to a local business when completing a scavenger hunt along Mount Vernon Avenue.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — While many places will be closed around Christmas in Del Ray, there's one free thing to do to keep your family entertained.
The Del Ray Business Association is once again hosting a Holiday Scavenger Hunt through Jan. 1. Residents are invited to walk along Mount Vernon Avenue to search for clues on the hand painted holiday windows.
To participate in the scavenger hunt, a clue sheet is available to download online or be picked up at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, Oxford and Mount Vernon Avenues. Completed clue sheets can be returned to the snowman’s mouth at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, Oxford and Mount Vernon Avenues, by Jan. 1. Participants who submit at least 20 of the 30 answers are entered to win one of five $50 gift cards to their favorite Del Ray business.

Many other holiday festivities in Del Ray have wrapped up for the season. The next major event is First Night Alexandria, a New Year's Eve event culminating with fireworks at midnight.
