Name Your Adoption Fee For Alexandria Pets Like Lani

ALEXANDRIA, VA — If you're looking for a new furry friend, consider starting your search at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which finds homes for shelter pets.

From Friday to Sunday, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria will let adopters name the adoption fee they'll pay during the "Summer Lovin" adoption event. The offer applies to all adult dogs and cats over 6 months old during normal adoption hours. Hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

One of the qualifying pets is Lani, a sweet dog that is patient posing for photos and waiting for a new home.

Lani is a 4-year-old sweetheart of a gal who has been waiting patiently for a new home and family. Staff and volunteers love to take pictures of Lani because she's so quick to pose and she has a beautiful brindle coat and expressive ears. Her previous owner reports that she has superb house manners and can be left alone at home without any issues! Lani loves to run and play with toys, but knows when it's time to rest and loves to snuggle up on the couch. Lani has so much love and affection to give. So much so, you don't need any other pets, which suits her just fine.
