Hume Springs resident Erin A. Kirk-Cuomo passed on these photos of the Mount Fuji Flowering Cherry blooming earlier this month at Hume Springs Park, located at 100 Dale St.
A similar tree was planted at the park a year ago in honor of Earth Day 2012, but was shortly destroyed by vandals.
A replacement tree was planted in the same spot and has now bloomed for the first time.
