Police Reports: Joy Ride, Stolen Tennis Rackets and Sunscreen in the Del Ray Area
The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray, Rosemont and Arlandria areas of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents.
July 27
2:10 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Oak Street.

2:59 p.m. — A theft was reported at the corner of Gentry Avenue and Landover Street.

10:38 a.m. — A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 2600 block of Ridge Road Drive.
10:19 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 600 block of Crestwood Drive.
July 25
7:45 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 2700 block of Holly Street.
7:42 p.m. — An arrest was made for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of W. Glebe Road.
4:53 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 400 block of E. Nelson Avenue.
9:44 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 100 block of Luna Park Drive.
July 24
11:44 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 1000 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
6:57 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 400 block of E. Alexandria Avenue.
11:37 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue.
10:01 a.m. — An unknown suspect stole a victim’s vehicle parked in the 3900 block of Elbert Avenue, drove it away from its location, damaged the exterior of the vehicle in several places and then returned it to its original location, leaving the motor running.
July 23
10:43 p.m. — An arrest was made for trespassing in the 3300 block of Landover Street.
11:57 a.m. — A vehicle was reported egged while it was parked in the 100 block of W. Braddock Road.
9:47 p.m. — An assault was reported near Braddock Road Metro station.
10:26 a.m. — Two tennis rackets, three tennis balls and sunscreen were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on W. Uhler Avenue.
July 22
11:48 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 800 block of W. Glebe Road.
4:06 p.m. — An arrest was made for disorderly conduct at 4:06 p.m. in the 2100 block of Leslie Avenue.
12:53 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from a driveway in the 500 block of E. Nelson Avenue.
11:58 p.m. — A vehicle cover was reported stolen off a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
11:57 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Oxford Avenue.
11:25 a.m. — A theft was reported on W. Uhler Avenue.
11:04 a.m. — A victim reported someone attempted to enter her vehicle parked in the garage next at her apartment complex in the 100 block of Luna Park Drive by knocking out the cylinder on the driver’s-side door.
8:40 a.m. — A single segment of fencing was reported cut out of the barrier around a car dealership in the 100 block of W. Glebe Road.
July 21
3:14 p.m. — An suspect was arrested for a liquor law violation and obstruction of justice in the 3000 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
3:48 a.m. — An arrest was made for driving under the influence at the corner of Jefferson Davis Highway and W. Glebe Road.
July 20
11:32 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
11:16 a.m. — A secured bicycle was reported stolen from an apartment storage room in the 300 block of Duncan Avenue.
