Police Reports: Vehicle Thefts in the Del Ray Area

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

May 1 — A suspect was arrested for carrying an open container of alcohol at 10:57 p.m. in the 500 block of Four Mile Road.

May 1 — A theft was reported at 2:32 p.m. in the 200 block of Luna Park Drive.

May 1 — A victim reported at 12:44 p.m. that his motorcycle was stolen from his garage in the 100 block of Luna Park Drive.

May 1 — A breaking-and-entering offense was reported at 7:59 a.m. in the 200 block of Evans Lane.

April 30 — A sudden death was reported to the police at 5:03 p.m. in the 100 block of Luna Park Drive. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, a narrative is not available.  

April 30 — A theft was reported at 3:06 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Masonic View Avenue.

April 30 — A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:55 a.m. in the 600 block of Oakland Terrace.

April 30 — A theft was reported at 10:23 a.m. in the 100 block of W. Bellefonte Avenue.

April 30 — A theft was reported at 8:35 a.m. in the 600 block of Oakland Terrace.

April 30 — A vehicle was reported stolen at 8:12 a.m. in the 1000 block of Russell Road.

April 30 — An arrest was made for possession of cocaine at 2:54 a.m. in the 3000 block of Manning Street.

April 29 — An arrest was made for assault at 10:23 p.m. in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. Police broke up a large fight in the same area around 7 p.m. that sent two men to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

April 29 — The interior of a vehicle parked unlocked in the 200 block of E. Custis Avenue was reported ransacked at 10:38 a.m.

April 29 — Coins were reported stolen from inside a victim’s unlocked vehicle at 9:58 a.m. on E. Spring Street.

April 29 — Theft offenses were reported at 8:41 a.m. in the 400 block of E. Glendale Avenue.

April 29 — A victim reported at 7:47 a.m. that his vehicle was entered by unknown means while it was parked in the 200 block of E. Glendale Avenue but nothing appeared to be taken.

April 29 — An assault was reported at 6:35 a.m. in the 3100 block of Valley Drive.

April 28 — A missing person report was filed at 11:07 p.m. in the 2900 block of Mosby Street. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, no narrative is available.

April 28 — At 4:31 p.m., a victim reported coins were stolen from inside her vehicle parked in the 300 block of E. Windsor Avenue.

April 28 — A theft was reported at 2:41 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Del Ray Avenue.

April 28 — A vehicle theft was reported at 1:56 p.m. in the 200 block of Luna Park Drive.

April 28 — A vehicle was reported stolen at 9:13 a.m. in the 400 block of E. Del Ray Avenue.

April 28 — An arrest was made for trespassing at 12:10 a.m. in the 3700 block of Commonwealth Avenue.

April 27 — A suspect was arrested for carrying an open container of alcohol at 4:19 a.m. in the 200 block of Clifford Avenue.

April 27 — An arrest was made for urinating in public at 3:54 a.m. in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

April 27 — An assault was reported at 1:05 a.m. in the 300 block of W. Glebe Road.

April 26 — An arrest was made for driving under the influence at 11:48 p.m. in the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

April 26 — An arrest was made for assault at 8:32 p.m. in the 1000 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

April 26 — A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:49 a.m. in the 3700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

April 26 — An arrest was made for trespassing at 1:25 a.m. in the 3900 block of Bruce Street.

April 25 — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported at 11:07 p.m. in the 3900 block of Executive Avenue.

April 25 — Thefts from two unlocked vehicles were reported at 4:05 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Glebe Road.

April 25 — A theft from a vehicle was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 3900 block of Courtland Drive.

April 25 — A robbery was reported at 5:03 a.m. in the 3500 block of Valley Drive.

April 25 — An arrest was made for possession of an open container of alcohol at 12:28 a.m. in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.
