Salvation Army Fundraiser Set for May 11

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is hosting its barbeque dinner and bake sale fundraiser from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Alexandria Citadel Corps, located on Mount Vernon Avenue.

All proceeds from the event will benefit services for Alexandria’s less fortunate, including families and individuals who rely on the Salvation Army for rent assistance, utility and grocery services, spiritual care and other social services.

The event is sponsored Rocklands Barbecue and Grilling Company. Chopped pork and pulled chicken will be available. Plates include baked beans, macaroni salad, a potato roll and beverage. Tickets are $10 per person. Military ID will receive a 10 percent discount.
