2 In Jail Following Traffic Stop Involving Stolen Vehicle: Police
City of Fairfax Police arrested a Woodbridge man and Front Royal woman during a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle on Thursday.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Woodbridge man and a Front Royal woman were arrested Thursday morning after the car they were in turned out to be stolen, according to City of Fairfax Police.
Acting on a FLOCK alert concerning a stolen vehicle, officers stopped a vehicle at 3705 Blenheim Blvd. around 10:34 a.m. on Thursday. A preliminary investigation determined that one of the the two occupants was wanted on active warrants out of Prince William County, according to police.
The driver, whom police identified as 42-year-old Maurice Cotton of Woodbridge, was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with receiving stolen property and driving while revoked.
Police identified the other occupant as 36-year-old Shawntice Howard of Front Royal, who was arrested and taken to the ADC, where she was served with warrants for petit larceny and failure to appear, police say. Both Cotton and Howard were held without bond.
