2nd Annual Providence Day To Offer Family Fun, Community Resources
Providence Day and Back to School Celebration returns Saturday for a second year at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church.

FAIRFAX, VA — Supervisor Dalia A. Palchik (D-Providence) is hosting the Second Annual Providence Day and Back to School Celebration on Saturday at George C. Marshall High School.
"This free, family-friendly celebration will feature live performances by the Vienna Singing Princesses and Drew Blue Shoes the Magician, along with resource tables from Fairfax County government agencies and community partners offering information, activities, and giveaways for all ages," according to a release from Palchik's office.
Saturday's event will provide attendees an opportunity to talk to local officials, including Palchi, Fairfax County Board Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay (D-At-Large), School Board Member Karl Frisch (Providence), and Del. Marcus B. Simon (D-13th)

Providence Day is taking place 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at George C. Marshall High School, which is located at 7731 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church.
"The Providence Day and Back to School Celebration brings neighbors together for an afternoon of entertainment, community connection, and access to county and nonprofit resources," according to Palchik's office. "This is an opportunity to celebrate what makes the Providence District a vibrant place to live, work, and play."

How To Get There
George Marshall High School is accessible by car with free parking onsite, Metrobus, or bike, with bike racks also available onsite. Shuttle service will operate on two routes. Route 1 from the PanAm shopping center (Safeway parking lot) and Trillium Fairfax (in front of the leasing office) departing at 9:30am and Route 2 from Kingsley Commons (in front of the leasing office) departing at 9:45 a.m. Both routes will leave the event ~12:45 p.m..
