Driver Hits Planter, Tree, Library in Old Town Fairfax

He was charged with reckless driving.

A driver ran off road on North Street and struck a few concrete planters, a tree, a speed sign, a gas lamp and the City of Fairfax Regional Library Monday morning. 

The juvenile driver was charged with reckless driving after he lost control of his car and drove it onto the sidewalk at 10360 North Street in downtown Fairfax City at 6:33 a.m, according to Fairfax City Police. North Street was blocked for about an hour after the accident while emergency workers checked out a gas leak from the lamp and a clean-up crew made the road safe for traffic.

There were no injuries.
