Burglary Suspect Linked To Recent Thefts At Fairfax City Businesses

An Alexandria man arrested for burglary by Fairfax City Police is also a suspected of thefts from two city businesses, according to reports.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police linked a 38-year-old Alexandria man arrested recently for a burglary with two earlier larcenies at businesses in the city, according to authorities.

Officers responded around 12:01 p.m. to Mosby Tower at 10560 Main St. for the report of a man trying to force his way into a business, according to the incident report. Officers found the suspect nearby and took him into custody.

During their investigation, officers determined that Antwon Young was a suspect in two separate larcenies in Fairfax City and was also wanted out of Fairfax County, according to the report.

Young was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with burglary, possession of stolen credit cards, 10 counts of attempted credit card fraud, five counts of credit card larceny, credit card fraud, and petit larceny, according to the report.

After being served his outstanding Fairfax County warrant for probation violation, Young was held without bond.

Investigators linked Young to the theft of multiple items from TJMaxx at 10300 on April 28. In addition, Young was also identified as a suspect in the June 9 theft of credit cards, cash and personal belongings at Maimondies Chiropractic at 3859 Plaza Drive in the city. He was also accused of making multiple unauthorized purchases, according to police.
