Caretaker Charged After Unauthorized Spending: Police
Police say a Baltimore woman hired as a caretaker wrote checks and made unauthorized charges.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- The following are the most recent incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police, from the crime bulletin released Friday:

- Larceny Arrest 15-14876: 9700 Block of Ashby Road- On August 31, 2015 the resident reported that while employing a caretaker unauthorized checks had been written on her account and unauthorized charges made on her credit card. As the result of investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division a suspect was identified. Warrants were obtained charging Kimberly R. Moore, 52, of 6913 McLean Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland with four counts of larceny of checks and one count of credit card larceny. She was taken into custody on April 12 and transported to the Adult Detention Center where her bond was set at $5000.
- Larceny 16-08025: 3900 Block of Fairview Drive – On April 14 at 3:49 PM the victim reported that during the period from January 1, 2012 unknown person(s) had taken various items from the room he was renting at the residence.
- Vehicle Theft 16-08027: 10407 Fairfax Boulevard / Farrish Subaru – On April 14 at 5:33 PM a manager reported that on April 11 or April 12 unknown person(s) had stolen a 2013 Dodge Charger from the back storage lot of the dealership.
- DUI Arrest 16-05083: 11100 Block of Gainsborough Court – On April 15 an officer investigating a complaint at the apartment complex parking lot observed that the driver of a vehicle on the lot was intoxicated and had a small child in the vehicle. Benjamin Robert Reed, 29, of 1452 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His bond was set at $2000.
