Carjackers Dump Man in Fairfax City

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men who allegedly carjacked and robbed a 57-year-old, Maryland man. The man was dumped in Fairfax City unharmed.

The victim just completed a delivery to a store at the Fair Oaks Shopping Center on Wednesday shortly after 10 a.m. A black, four-door sedan seemingly made intentional contact with the victim’s truck, causing the victim to stop and investigate. When he did so, he was approached by two of the three occupants of the black sedan, according to Fairfax County Police.

One of the suspects produced a hand gun and forced the victim back into his truck. The suspects placed a shirt over the victim’s head, tied his hands, and drove him to an unknown location in Fairfax City. He was released unharmed.

At some point during the drive, the suspects took personal items from the victim, as well as merchandise from the victim’s delivery truck. Police believe the suspects fled in the black sedan driven by a third, unidentified suspect. The car was possibly an older model Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis. The vehicle had no front license plate, a silver grill and missing hubcaps.

Two of the suspects were described as black, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, thin builds, in their late 20s, said police. One suspect had a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts. The other suspect was wearing a black T-shirt, a black ball cap, and shorts.
