The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra and Classical Mystery Tour reunite at Capital One Hall on November 8, 2024, to celebrate a major musical milestone: the 60th anniversary of The Beatles’ groundbreaking album, A Hard Day’s Night. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketmaster and may also be purchased in person at the Capital One Hall Box Office from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

In 1964, the Beatles dominated the charts, holding more than half of the Top 10 singles. This album marked the first time Lennon and McCartney wrote all original songs, including unforgettable hits like “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “I’m Happy Just to Dance with You,” and “And I Love Her.”

For the first half of the concert, Classical Mystery Tour’s “Fab Four” performs a setlist of the hits from A Hard Day’s Night. The Fairfax Symphony, under conductor Martin Herman, joins in for the second half to treat audiences to Beatles hits from every era. The full program lasts two hours and includes Beatles songs including like “Penny Lane,” “Yellow Submarine,” “Yesterday,” “Hey Jude,” “Let It Be,” and many more.

Jim Owen, who performs as John Lennon in Classical Mystery Tour, said: “For this special event, we’re very excited to be doing something The Beatles themselves got to do in the early days: performing their greatest hits live in concert, followed by something they never had a chance to do: performing live, backed by a symphony orchestra, with charts exactly as heard on the original recordings. This will be our second appearance with the Fairfax Symphony at Capital One Hall...an amazing orchestra in a wonderful performing arts venue.”
