City of Fairfax Goes Mobile With New App

The City of Fairfax has officially gone mobile.

As of Oct 04, 2014, Fairfax is offering the official City of Fairfax government app for Smartphones running iOS or Android.

The app connects the city government with residents, businesses and visitors with the following tools and features:

• Mayor & Council: Schedule a meeting with the Mayor or send comments to the Mayor and Council members.
• News: The latest headlines and easy access to City stories.
• Special Events: A special section of the app has been devoted to this year’s Fall Festival, with an event schedule, entertainment information, vendor list, an interactive map, shuttle and parking maps, videos and more.
• Calendars: Browse upcoming public meetings, community events, programs, tax deadlines and more.
• Fairfax City Alerts: Stay connected to our alert system and manage subscriptions from the mobile app.
• Online Services: Request services including inspection requests and dog licensing forms.
• Voter Registration Information: Identify polling stations and stay updated with the latest voter information.
• Park and School Finders: Find a complete listing of city parks and schools with a map identifying the locations.
• Push Notifications: Stay informed of important events, public hearings and meetings.
• Social Media Connections: Quick access to City of Fairfax Facebook, Twitter pages and YouTube Channel.
