Rainfall and snowmelt from urban and suburban landscapes - including lawns, golf courses, and paved surfaces - pick up and carry pollutants, eventually flowing into streams, watersheds, and eventually Chesapeake Bay. By reducing the amount of water runoff from our own properties through implementing stormwater best management practices, we can help preserve the integrity of the Bay and our own backyard.
