Easter Egg Hunts In and Around Fairfax

Celebrating Easter this weekend with the family? Read on to find out where/when you can attend Easter egg hunts in and around Fairfax City. to see a schedule of Easter services to learn about Easter egg hunt safety.

  • Christ Presbyterian Church: Saturday, April 23, Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Join us for a fun time of crafts and an Easter egg hunt for children up to 3rd grade.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Registration required so that we will have enough treats for all!  Please RSVP to the church office at 703-278-8365 or admin@cpcfairfax.org.
  • St. Leo the Great Catholic Church: An Easter egg hunt on Sunday will follow the 9, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. masses. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Boys and girls under 10 years of age are invited to participate.
  • Jubilee Christian Center: Easter Egg Roll at the Fairfax County Government Center. Saturday, 1-3 p.m. Moonbounces, carnival games, door prizes, food, face painting and more. Free.
  • St. George's United Methodist Church: Sunday School and Easter Egg Hunt, April 24, 10 a.m. Children report to Sunday School first. Bags will be handed out and decorated there, and the egg hunt will take place outside during the last part of the hour. Adults are invited to prepare the meal for FACETS – our monthly mission to the hungry of Fairfax.
  • Fairfax Presbyterian Church: Easter Sunday, April 24. 10:15 a.m. Easter story and easter egg hunt for children on the Glebe.
  • South Run RECenter's Annual Eggstravaganza is on Saturday, April 23 from 10-11 a.m. The event will feature an egg hunt, pictures with the bunny, face painting and arts and crafts. This is for ages 8 and under - you'll need to bring a basket. Register in person at South Run RECenter or by calling 703-866-0566.
  • You can have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny at Springfield Mall in the lower level JC Penney Court through April 23. Mondays through Saturdays 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., on Sundays from noon - 5 p.m.
  • St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is holding their Parish Easter Egg Hunt at 4 p.m. on April 23.
  • Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church will have their Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 24. There will also be Egg Dyeing and other treats and activities for kids and kids at heart. Bring your own baskets for the Egg Hunt!
  • The Lutheran Church of the Abiding Presence will have their Easter brunch and Egg Hunt at 9:45 on Sunday, April 24.
  • Enjoy the second annual Middleridge Easter Egg Hunt on April 16 at 2 p.m. The event is at Middleridge Park.
  • Enjoy a dinosaur-themed program and outdoor egg hunt while visiting dinoland in Nature Playce at the Hidden Oaks Nature Center at 7701 Royce Street in Annandale. The program is on April 16 at 10:30 a.m. Click here to register.
  • Bull Run Regional Park at 7700 Bull Run Drive in Centreville will host the Easter Bunny on April 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be crafts, games, prizes, refreshments, an egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Admission is $10 per child (ages 2-8). Parents and grandparents are free. Sign up here. Call 703-631-0550 for more information.
  • Mason District Park will offer a traditional Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m. to noon on April 23. Children ages 1 to 9 years old can enjoy the moonbounce, popcorn, and more. Bring your own basket. Separate hunts will be held by age group. Hunts begin at 10:15 a.m. for ages 1 to 2; 10:45 a.m. for ages 3 and 4; 11:15 a.m. for ages 5 and 6; and 11:45 a.m. for ages 7 to 9. Walk-in registration is available. The cost is $7 per child. For more information, call 703-941-1065.
  • Vienna’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Nottoway Park on April 23 at 11 a.m. Children will be divided by age group and can hunt for eggs full of treats and win special prizes. Participants must bring their own basket. There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny as well. Come early for walk-in registration on the day of the event starting 9:30 a.m. Admission is $7 per child. For more information or to register in advance, call 703-324-8566.   • On April 23, Cox Farms in Centreville will host several hunts, starting from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. No pre registration or purchase is required. They will also have the Easter bunny and egg coloring. The farm is located at 15621 Braddock Road in Centreville. Call 703-830-4121 for more information.
