Fairfax Actor To Play Lead In Prince William Little Theatre's 'Oliver'

Fairfax High School actor will play the title role in Prince William Little Theatre's production of the Broadway classic, "Oliver."

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Mauro Manganello, a rising sophomore at Fairfax High School, will be playing Oliver Twist in Prince William Little Theatre's upcoming production of "Oliver."

Acting since the age of 5, Manganello's previous roles include playing The Genie in "Aladdin JR," Pinocchio in "Shrek JR," and Chef Louis in "The Little Mermaid." "Oliver" will be the actor's PWLT debut.

Aside from theater, Manganello plays the trumpet in the marching band and is a member of the competition drum line. He also enjoys crocheting and woodworking.

PWLT's production of "Oliver" is directed Melanie McCleerey and produced by Chrissy Mastrangelo and Becky Gould-Levine. Veronica Miller is the musical director and Jim Villani is the conductor. Kasey Moore is the show's stage manager. The set was designed and built by Nick Mastrangelo and Mia Villani. The show features lighting design by Ken and Patti Crowley.

PWLT is partnering with the Manassas Symphony Orchestra to present this production of Lionel Bart's Broadway classic from July 14 to July 16, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas. Showtimes are 8 p.m., on Friday, July 14; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., on Saturday, July 15; and 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 16.

Tickets may be purchased online or at the the Hilton box office. Tickets are $25, $30 and $35.
