Fairfax Boulevard Reconstruction Resumes July 27

Reconstruction on Fairfax Boulevard (Route 50) is scheduled to begin again Sunday, July 27 after a temporary delay.

Crews will mill and replace asphalt from Rebel Run to Fairfax Circle in both directions and rebuild the bridge through August. Roadwork will be conducted entirely at night but may close up to two lanes in both directions during scheduled work.

Drivers should expect delays during the following times:

• Weekday nights: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Weekend nights: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
