FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City has launched a new community engagement group aimed at examining social and racial equity issues, and it's looking for stakeholders and community members to get involved.
The group, called Connecting Fairfax City For All, will consist of 15 members discussing "racially-charged viewpoints," along with the city's past, its Civil War history, racial and social equity and changing demographics, the city said in a news release.
