Fairfax City Man Wins $200K Playing VA Lottery Online Game

A City of Fairfax man won $200,000 at home while playing an online instant game from the Virginia Lottery.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Fairfax City man didn't have to leave his home in to win $200,000 from the Virginia Lottery.

Jason Bridwell was recently killing time at at home playing the Virginia Lottery’s Wobblyblobs online game. It turned out to be time well spent.

Bridwell later told lottery officials that he shouted "Whoa!" when he realized how much he'd won.

Wobblyblogs is one of the dozens of online instant games available on the Virginia Lottery app. The odds of winning the $300,000 top prize in the game are 1 in 666,666.67.

All Virginia Lottery profits go to fund K-12 education across the state. In the last fiscal year, the City of Fairfax received more than $540,000 in lottery funds for K-12 education. The lottery raised more that $901 million in Fiscal Year 2025, which accounted for about 10 percent of Virginia's total K-12 school budget.
