FAIRFAX, VA — The Fairfax Police Department is seeking tips from the community in reference to the fatal shooting of Gret Glyer, the founder of the online fundraising platform, DonorSee.

"The City of Fairfax Police Department would like to offer our condolences to the family of Mr. Gret Glyer," the police department said in a news release Monday evening. Once on scene, police said they went into the house and found Glyer. He'd been shot with a gun.

According to police radio audio obtained by FOX 5, a dispatcher said: "She [Glyer's wife] heard a loud noise and believes her husband has been shot. She believes someone came into the house."

Gleyer's two young children were in the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured, the TV station reported.

At this time, police said they have no reason to believe that there is a wider threat to the community.

They do believe, however, someone holds the answers into the 32-year-old's mysterious death.

"We want to encourage the public to call the police department if you see or hear anything suspicious," the police department said. "We value our relationship with the community, and we look forward to speaking with anyone who has any information about this or any other matter."

Glyer leaves behind two young children and a wife, according to DonorSee, which is raising funds for his family in the wake of his death. As of Tuesday, the platform has raised nearly $30,000 from more than 270 donors.

Following his death, DonorSee issued this statement:

Gret is a shining light that has brought hope and joy to everyone and everything he touched. The DonorSee team is in shock.
Our thoughts, love, prayers, and support are with Gret's beloved wife Heather, their children, family, and friends.
We ask that you keep them in your prayers at this time.
