Fairfax Woman Identified As Victim In Fatal Crash In Fair Oaks: Police
A 33-year-old Fairfax woman was identified as the victim in Monday's fatal crash on Route 29 in Fair Oaks, according to police.

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County police identified 33-year-old Nicole Ayilola of Fairfax as the pedestrian who was seriously injured when she was struck by a car Monday evening on Route 29 in Fair Oaks, according to authorities. She was later pronounced deceased.
Officers responded around 6:39 p.m. for the report of a crash involving a pedestrian at Route 29 and Forum Drive, a police public information officer told Patch in an email. Investigators determined that a 2018 BMW was traveling northbound on Route 29 when it struck Ayilola as she was crossing the road near Forum Drive.
Ayilola was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and later declared deceased, the report says.

The driver of the BMW was uninjured and remained on the scene, according to police. Investigators say that alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to FCPD.
Police closed Route 29 between Holly Avenue and Forum Drive to allow crash reconstruction detectives to process the scene. The road was reopened around 9:30 p.m.
