Fashion NoVA Returns to Fairfax Corner

The event is free and open to the public; however, special VIP seats for the fashion show are available for purchase.

Fairfax Corner (11900 Palace Way, 22030) will hold its popular annual Fashion NoVA event on Saturday, Sept. 17 from noon until 2 p.m. with light bites, complimentary beauty treatments, exclusive one-day shopping offers (including purchase of the fabulous looks seen on the runway), and other offers and giveaways.

The latest looks for fall from your favorite Fairfax Corner stores hit the runway at 1 p.m. when the fashion show gets underway with emcees Sarah Fraser (host of Hey Frase podcast and weekly contributor on FOX5 DC) and Samy K (they’ll be available from noon to 1 p.m. for a meet-and-greet). Clean out your closet and donate gently used women’s and children’s clothing, accessories and jewelry to Women Giving Back. Each person who makes a clothing donation will receive a gift, while supplies last.

The event is free and open to the public; however, special VIP seats for the fashion show are available for purchase. VIP seats are the only seating available and cost $10 with all proceeds benefiting Women Giving Back. Those purchasing VIP tickets will receive one reserved seat to the fashion show, a voucher for a free cocktail and appetizer at P.F. Changs Fairfax Corner (good on Sept. 17), a fashion shopping tote, and a voucher for a week of free yoga at CorePower Yoga. VIP tickets must be purchased in advance online only.

The benefactor of this event, Women Giving Back was founded in June 2007 by a core group of building industry sales and marketing professionals to help transitionally homeless women and children get back on their feet with clothes and to help them enter the workplace and fit in at school. The organization runs a store in Sterling, www.WomenGivingBack.org.

“We are so happy to be able to help this local, worthy charity that helps so many women and children in our community and throughout the metropolitan region,” stated Joanna Rothermel, regional marketing director for the Peterson Companies, developers and owners of Fairfax Corner. “Women Giving Back fits Fairfax Corner’s community mission and provides another great reason to attend our annual fashion show.”
