Clinton is recuperating this week from a bout of pneumonia; she's expected to speak Friday in Washington, D.C., at the Black Women's Agenda Symposium.
A new poll out Tuesday by Public Policy Polling shows Clinton ahead in the toss-up state by about 6 points. In the full field she leads with 45 percent to 39 percent for Donald Trump, with Gary Johnson at 6 percent, Jill Stein at 2 percent and Evan McMullin at 1 percent. In a head-to-head contest just against Trump, she leads 50-42, according to the poll.
Clinton last visited GMU in the spring, a day ahead of the Virginia primary. She addressed a crowd at The Hub on campus. Also in attendance were Kaine, Gov. Terry McAuliffe, U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly and U.S. Rep. Bobby Scott.
