Four Suspects Attempt to Rob Pizza Restaurant: Police

An employee of a local pizza restaurant said four suspects entered the business and demanded money, police said.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Four suspects entered a local pizza restaurant in the early hours Sunday morning and attempted to rob the business, according to Fairfax City Police.

The robbery attempt took place at 3850 Old Lee Highway (see map at bottom of story), at Angie’s Pizza Sunday at 3:55 a.m., police said.

An employee reported that four unknown black male subjects had entered the business and demanded money, then grabbed the victim when he said he had no money, according to police. The suspects left the area on foot. The victim was not injured and nothing was taken. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

Forgery 16-04972: 11100 Block of Gainsborough Court - On March 29 at 1:34 PM the resident reported that between February 17 and February 23 unknown person(s) had cashed four fraudulent checks of his account at a business located in the City.

Larceny 16-05156: 9679 Main Street / Parking Lot - On April 1 at 2:24 PM an employee reported that sometime between March 19 and March 30 unknown person(s) had stolen his company’s construction trailer from the parking lot. The trailer contained a large quantity of tools and equipment.

Shoplifting Arrest 16-05158: 3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot - On April 1 at 2:38 PM a security officer reported observing a male subject placing merchandise in a bag and attempting to leave the store without paying, at which point he was detained. Kenneth Dawson, 29, of 4231 Hunt Club Circle, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with larceny and his bond was set at $1000.

Larceny from Vehicle 16-05159: 10875 Main Street / Parking Lot – On April 1 at 2:28 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 9:30 AM unknown person(s) had stolen four decorative center caps from the wheels of her parked vehicle.

Larceny 16-05163: 9602 Main Street / Lifetime Athletic – On April 1 at 3:16 PM the victim reported that about 5:30 PM on March 30 unknown person(s) had stolen jewelry which she had placed in a bag in her purse while in the locker room.

DUI Arrest 16-05274: Fairfax Boulevard / Lee Highway – On April 3 at 2:56 AM an officer observed a subject slumped in a running vehicle standing in a traffic lane and subsequently determined that the subject was intoxicated. Luis Crisanto Rosales Estacio, 40, of 5663 Derby Court, Alexandria, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of blood/breath test. His bond was set at $2500.
