FRIDAY:
- Costume Contest at Auld Shebeen: Join DJ Espee in the Cellar for a Friday night Halloween costume contest. Starts at 10 p.m.
SATURDAY

- Halloween Woods: Check out the Halloween-ified Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna. Families are welcome. This event is geared from children of ages 6-14. All kids must be accompanied by a parent. Event takes place Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30-9:30 p.m. It costs $7 for Meadowlark members, more for non-members. Get tickets by calling 703-255-3631. Rain or shine.
- Air and Scare: Udar-Hazy Center at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum offers indoor trick-or-treating Saturday from 2-8 p.m. Admission is free. Parking costs $15. The event also features science experimetns, crafts and other spooky activities.
SUNDAY:
- Goblin Gallop: Compete in a 5K run/walk and a 1K fun run at Fairfax Corner. The proceeds go to the John Quadrino Foundation for Children with Cancer. Click here to register and get more information. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the fun run. 5K run and walk starts at 9 and 9:10, respectively.
MONDAY:

- Mall-o-ween: Put on your costume and trick-or-treat at Fair Oaks Mall. The 24th Annual Mall-O-Ween lasts from 6-8 p.m. Admission is free.
- Trick-or-Treat at Police Station: Stop by the City of Fairfax Police Department on Old Lee Highway (next to Van Dyck Park) between 6-8 p.m. for goodies. Call 703-385-7855 for more information.
- Witch Watch: Volunteer to patrol the neighborhoods around George Mason University during trick-or-treat time. Organized by Mason Student Government, the event hopes to keep families safe on Halloween Night. Click here to get involved: Witch Watch.
