Herndon Woman Cited On Drug Charges After Arrest In Fairfax City: Police
A City of Fairfax police officer arrested a Herndon woman early Sunday after noticing her driving erratically, according to authorities.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 22-year-old Herndon woman is facing multiple drug charges, after she tried to elude a traffic stop early Sunday morning in Fairfax City, according to City of Fairfax Police Department.
Just before 4 a.m., an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle being driven erratically. When the officer tried to initiate a traffic stop, the driver attempted to flee, but eventually stopped near the CVS at 10090 Fairfax Blvd., according to the incident report.
During the investigation, the officer learned that there was an active arrest warrant for the driver, who was identified as Gianny Kuk-Espinoza of Herndon, according to police.

Kuk-Espinoza was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where she was charged with eluding police, driving on a suspended license, and possession of a Schedule II drug, according to the report. She was also served the warrant for failing to appear in court and was then held without bond.
Kuk-Espinoza was arraigned Monday morning in Fairfax County General District Court and a bond hearing was scheduled for Tuesday morning, according to court records. She has a prelimiary hearing set for 2 p.m., on Feb. 4, 2026.

Additionally, Kuk-Espinoza was charged with inhaling drugs or other noxious chemical substances or causing, etc., others to do so, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor, and felony distributing/selling for profit a Schedule 1/11 drug, according to court records.
On Nov. 13, Kuk-Espinoza failed to appear for a scheduled hearing in Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to court records. That hearing was related to a Nov. 5 arrest for the unauthorized use of a vehicle, which is a Class 6 felony. If convicted on that charge, she faces a possible sentence of one to five years in prison, or up to 12 months in jail and a fine of up to $2,500, under the Code of Virginia.
