FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- The following are some of the most recent incidents, as reported in the daily crime bulletin by the Fairfax City Police. See map below for approximate location of burglary.

Counterfeiting 16-06079: 10350 Willard Way / Safeway – On April 15 at 11:07 AM an employee reported that on April 14 unknown person(s) had paid for merchandise using $100 bills which subsequently were determined to be counterfeit.

Interdiction Violation Arrest 16-06088: 3220 Old Lee Highway / Parking Lot – On April 15 at 1:34 PM an officer checking information on a female subject who appeared to be drunk in public learned that she had several previous interdiction violations. The subject had left the area but later returned and was taken into custody. Evelyn Elizabeth Rodriguez, 27, of no fixed address was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with possession of alcohol by an interdicted person and drunk in public—interdicted. Her bond was set at $5000.

Credit Card Fraud 16-06097: 3800 Block of Farrcroft Drive – On April 15 at 3:53 PM the resident reported that on April 10 and 11 unknown person(s) had used his credit card number to make unauthorized purchases in Maryland. The victim had his credit card in his possession at the time.

Assault 16-06107: Old Lee Highway / Willard Way – On April 15 at 7:10 PM a CUE Bus driver reported that an unknown male subject had spit in his face after the driver had ordered the subject off the bus because he was unable to pay his fare. The suspect then left the area on foot. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

Burglary 16-06169: 3600 Block of Jean Street – On April 16 at 9:15 PM the residents reported that sometime after 9:00 AM unknown person(s) had entered the home and rummaged through the contents of several rooms. Jewelry and cash were taken. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

Larceny 16-06234: 9802 Main Street / Lifetime Athletic – On April 17 at 11:33 PM the victim reported that sometime after 10:00 PM unknown person(s) had taken his duffle bag from his locker. The bag contained cash, clothing and keys.

Larceny from Vehicle 16-06252: 9860 Fairfax Square – On April 18 at 11:27 AM an employee of the apartment management company reported that unknown person(s) had stolen the front license plate from a company vehicle.
