Police are looking for information in the midnight robbery of an Exxon gas station on Fairfax Boulevard.

A man approached the register to purchase an item at the station's On the Run convenience store at around 12:20 a.m. Friday. As the store clerk was retrieving his change, the suspect held out a blue bag with handles and told the clerk to fill the bag with cash from the register. No weapon was displayed or implied, according to Fairfax City Police. After receiving cash, the suspect walked out of the store and was last seen heading south behind the business.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately five feet eight to five feet ten inches tall, heavyset with a protruding belly, and a goatee, said police. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat, blue jacket, gray t-shirt with lettering, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
