A black lab interrupted Independence Day festivities Sunday evening when he jumped into the pool at Rutherford Area Swim Club between Guinea Road and Olley Lane. Now locals are trying to find who he belongs to.
The friendly, all-black laborador retriever seems a little on the skinny side, but otherwise healthy. He's being kept in a Fairfax home for a few days. If his owner doesn't turn up in time, he'll be brought to a no-kill shelter.
He does not have a collar or ID tag.

"We are taking every measure we can to assure he is returned home," said a Craigslist ad. "I am a lab owner, and the family holding him owns a dog too. I want more than anything to see this very friendly, sweet dog returned home."
