Left I-145N Exit to I-66W Closed Permanently
Drivers will need to use the right exit as of Friday.
The left I-495 north exit to I-66 west, Exit 49C, will close permanently on Friday.
Drivers will need to use the existing right exit ramp, Exit 49A, to I-66 west, according to Virginia Department of Transportation. Stay in the right lane on I-495 if you plan to exit onto I-66 west.
The closure allows construction crews to shift traffic to the new Beltway outer lanes and make way for work on a new HOT Lanes access ramp that will replace the existing left exit for I-66 west. This work is part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
