Lunar New Year Festival This Weekend In Fairfax
The 16th annual Lunar New Year Festival will be held this weekend at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax to celebrate the Year of the Pig.
FAIRFAX, VA—If you're in the mood for something both different and fun, head out to Fair Oaks Mall this weekend to "usher in the Year of the Pig." It's the 16th annual Lunar New Year Festival, 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Grand Court.
The celebration will feature traditional Chinese dragon dances, music, Chinese knotting, calligraphy, painting, martial arts, arts and crafts for kids and a special lantern festival. More than 200 performers will be on hand representing China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Polynesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
