Man Assaulted With Flower Pot, Bat on Ashby Place

Police arrested three men in connection with the incident.

Fairfax City Police arrested three people who assaulted a man sitting outside a home on the 10600 block of Ashby Place just after midnight on Thursday.

The victim, a Vienna man, was sitting outside the Ashby Place home with a female acquaintance at 12:32 a.m. when they were approached by three men.

Christopher Scott Kohne, 30, of Richard Avenue, Sung Yeop Hong, 20, of Annandale, and Tae Won Kang, 29, of Saxon Flower Drive, were arrested after they allegedly hit the male victim in the head with a flower pot, beat him with a bat and kicked him.

Police found the suspects at Kohne's residence, arrested them and transported them to the Adult Detention Center. Kohne and Hong were charged with felony assault, Kang with disorderly conduct.

Kohne was ordered held without bond, according to police. Hong’s bond was set at $2,500. Kang’s bond was set at $250.
