Man Refills Coffee Cup Taken from Trash, Allegedly Steals from Two Other City Businesses

52-year-old man arrested, charged with felony larceny

Fairfax City Police arrested a man who allegedly stole items from two city businesses and attempted to steal from a third.

Tracey Edward Reeves, 52, of no fixed address was charged with three counts of felony larceny.

Reeves allegedly took a used cup from the trash at the Fairfax Boulevard Saturday morning, according to the . He refilled the coffee cup and left without paying. Two hours later, he allegedly attempted to steal merchandise from the T-Mobile store down the street.

Officers tracked Reeves down and found items stolen from the Fairfax Boulevard Walgreens.

Because of his criminal history, Reeves' charges are considered felonies.
