Man Tries to Rob Mobil Gas Station

The clerk refused and he left.

A man with a blue bag tried to rob the Mobil gas station on Fairfax Boulevard Friday night. He left when the clerk refused to give him any money.

The suspect approached the counter to purchase an item at around 8 p.m. As the clerk attempted to hand the subject change from the transaction, the suspect produced a blue bag and instructed the clerk to fill the bag with cash from the register. No weapon was displayed or implied, according to Fairfax City Police. Instead of persisting, the suspect left the store and was last seen walking south towards Fairfax Boulevard.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 30- to 35-years-old, five feet eight to five feet nine inches tall, weighing about 200 to 250 pounds, and sporting a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white shirt.
