Man Who Assaulted Woman In Fairfax City Is At Large: Police

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The City of Fairfax Police Department is asking the public for tips to find the man who assaulted a woman last week in broad daylight as she walked through the Fairchester subdivision. The assault occurred at 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Hill Street and Fairchester Drive, according to a police report.

A man assaulted a female pedestrian from behind and apparently tried to take photographs by forcefully lifting her skirt, the police said.

He's described as light-skinned, skinny, and wearing a gray T-shirt and gray shorts. The man was seen by witnesses fleeing northbound on Hill Street towards Woodhaven Drive, the police said.
