Motorcyclist Killed In Weekend Crash Near Fair Lakes: Police

Alcohol isn't believed to have been a factor in the crash, police said, adding they are investigating if speed played a role.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A motorcyclist was killed in a weeked crash near Fair Lakes, according to police.

Michael Yung, 26, of Lorton, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 2024 BMW motorcycle was headed north on West Ox Road and collided with a 2021 GMC SUV that had been traveling south on West Ox Road and was turning left onto eastbound Piney Branch Road, police said.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to police, who said a passenger from the SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
