Jazzercise, the women's fitness program, has announced a new fitness format designed especially for women in premenopause. Called Vital Sculpt HIIT, this format is designed for women’s wellness by experts in women’s fitness to address the unique needs of women in this stage of life.

A HIIT-style fitness class promotes strength, vitality, and long-term hormone health with a science-backed blend of targeted sculpting, high-intensity cardio, and functional movement training. Each part of the format is designed to help women:

  • Preserve muscle mass: Lifting heavier weights and HIIT-style bursts activate your central nervous system to build new muscle. This is crucial for women with declining estrogen.
  • Revitalize bone growth: Multi-directional jumping triggers bone growth and helps combat bone loss, osteoporosis, and injuries.
  • Improve mobility: Dramatically improve your quality of life with mobility-focused functional fitness moves, including standing and floor work.

The program, launched earlier this year by the California-based fitness company, has been favorably reviewed in media outlets like Athletic News and Good Housekeeping. Jazzercise president Shanna Missett Nelson notes that her own menopausal experience inspired her to tap into her resources to create a program that would help her to "feel strong, energized, and capable, not just now, but for years to come." Vital Sculpt HIIT is available both in-studio and via Jazzercise on Demand. For more information on women's health resources offered by Jazzercise visit www.jazzercise.com
