Northern Virginia International Film + Music Festival Kicks Off Next Week

The second Annual Northern Virginia International Film & Musical Festival kicks off next Thursday, April 21, at an opening reception at Sea Pearl Restaurant, 8191 Strawberry Lane at the Mosaic District in Merrifield. The free event kicks off at 6 p.m.

The action moves to the State Theatre, 220 N. Washington St., in Falls Church, on Friday, April 22 with film screenings starting at 3 p.m., a battle of the bands from 7:30-10:15 p.m. and a Bottoms Up! dance party from 10:15 p.m. to midnight. Films are: "Big Gold Dream," "Live from UB" and "Nathan East: For the Record." Bands are Lost Civilzations, Red Version, No Quick Fix and Monday Mistress.

Film-making seminars on acting, screenwriting, funding and distribution and more are scheduled during the festival. See the seminars schedule here.
