Now Open in Mosaic District: Dolcezza Gelato

Dolcezza, a gelato shop and coffee bar, opened in the Mosaic District on Saturday.

This is Dolcezza’s first location in Virginia, Eater.com reported.

Dolcezza is offering 16 flavors of gelato for its opening and will have more flavors once the warm weather comes. The coffee bar will offer Verve coffee and pastries.

According to Dolcezza’s website, “Our philosophy is simple: Be curious. Be spontaneous. Play with your food. Support local farmers and make exquisite gelato.”

The Mosaic District — on the edge of Vienna off of Gallows Road near Merrifield, at 2910 District Ave., Fairfax — is a new development with nearly three dozen retailers (notably Target) already open or set to open later this spring. 

Taylor Gourmet Deli opened in the Mosaic District earlier this year.
